Frequently asked questions

Do you take my insurance?

Short answer: Yes! Long answer: I am an out-of-network provider. To use your insurance, your plan must include out-of-network benefits. We would be happy to verify that for you and define all out-of-packet expenses for each visit. No out-of-network benefits? Not a problem, you can self-pay for your visit or use HSA/FSA.

Why out-of-network?

Opting out of network enables me to offer you better service, so you can recover faster in fewer sessions.

Do I need a referral from a doctor to begin physical therapy?

No, you do not. NY State Direct Access Law states that you do not need to have a referral to start physical therapy. Please note, however, that some insurances might require one.

How to prepare for my first appointment?

Once scheduled, you will be invited to Patient Portal. Please take time to complete all the patient forms provided and input your personal information. The credit card is required on file for payments. To access Patient Portal, click here.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear comfortable clothes. Shorts, T-shirt, or sports bra are best to allow access to the treated area. If you are coming with a running injury, please bring your preferred running shoes.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I require 24h advance notice (this does not apply to same day appointments) for any cancellations or rescheduling. There will be a fee applied for late cancels, no shows or rescheduling within 24h.

How many sessions will I need?

After the initial assessment, I will determine the number of sessions needed to meet your goals. I usually see patients once weekly and majority of them recover within ten visits.
